When it comes time to sell your home, there are a huge number of things you can do to improve the value and increase the sale price such as renovating wet areas and the kitchen, knocking down walls or completely overhauling it to bring it back to its former glory. But if you’re not that keen on the time and effort required (and dubious about the return on investment), here are eight styling tips you can use that are low impact on the budget and pretty easy to DIY.
1. Interior/Exterior Paint & Window Furnishings
Everyone knows that ‘fresh paint’ smell. Instantly the place seems brand new! Although on the more expensive side, this instantly rejuvenates a tired, lived in home.
Window treatments (blinds, curtains & shutters) are also an important feature to consider restoring/modifying. They frame the windows in each room and allow for the space to be finished off – but old daggy curtains or broken, cheap venetians can make the room completely lacklustre. Simple shutters or blinds can be used to allow the perfect touch of natural light into the room, but also provide excellent privacy!

Find a cupboard and think bare minimum. If you have a HUGE stack of magazines piled up next to the sofa? Throw them out… No one cares for the 2015 Vogue that you have only read once.
